Age in Spain’s Good Neighbour Award sets out to highlight the best examples of neighbourliness in Spain.

The Age in Spain Good Neighbour Award  was established in 2022 in order to acknowledge the often-unsung heroes who go beyond the call of duty to help in their community. Whether through regular volunteering or just helping others from time to time, every act of kindness and support makes a difference.

In some cases, nominees for the award are people who have done something really significant for their local community; in other cases, grateful neighbours simply want to say thank you to someone who had done them a kindness or gone out of their way to help.

Anyone can nominate their good neighbour or a person who in their view makes a contribution to their local community that merits a special thank you. All the entries are carefully considered by an international panel with the endorsement of UK Ambassador to Spain Hugh Elliott. The selected finalists receive a printed certificate and letter of thanks from the President of Age in Spain.

Do you have a neighbour that you would like to say thank you to? Make sure to take part in our next Award. Sign up for our newsletter and the entry information will be sent to you in one of our regular updates later in the year.
