Volunteer with us - Caseworker Profile

We completely depend upon volunteers who get involved and help at every level - from committee work to doing assessment visits to people in their own home.

  • We match your availability, skills and experience to our volunteering positions

  • We provide training and support

  • We reimburse out of pocket expenses if you have to travel on our behalf

We are looking for volunteer caseworkers - which is an ideal role if you can help for a few hours every now and again with a one off assessment visit to a client.

What’s involved?

When we receive a request for help, information alone may not be enough. We visit some clients to assess their situation so that we can find the services and support that will help resolve their problems.

The Caseworker role is to

  • make a one off visit to a client referred by the Casework Manager

  • talk with the client to gather information about their circumstances

  • record the information on an assessment form and return it to the Casework Manager.

Sometimes there are further visits, but one visit can be all that is needed.
